Belfast comedian Paddy Kielty earned acclaim in 1995 with his Patrick Kielty Tonight Show. He has gone on to star in The Stand-Up show and host The National Lottery Big Ticket. Currently was last known to be dating fellow TV presenter Amanda Byram (who used to work on the Big Breakfast.)

Patrick attended Queens University and has apparently always been a bit of a laugh. he is famous for doing off the wall things like taking the entire audience to the pub after the show.

He recently hosted the Hot Press Irish Music Awards (April 2002). Having interviewed stars such as Heidi Klum, Steve Coogan, Kelly Brook and James Nesbitt our Patrick wasn't about to get tongue-tied at the sight of U2 and The Corrs. Needless to say, the night was a complete success!

Patrick presented the BBC's answer to Pop Idols Fame Academy alongside Cat Deeley.

 

 

Patrick Kielty 'signs £1m deal with BBC'

 Patrick Kielty has signed up to present another two series of his BBC1 chat show.

It is thought that the comic has signed a £1 million deal to continue with Almost Live, after it proved a hit with viewers.

He will also be seen fronting new reality TV show Fame Academy next month.

According to the News Of The World, BBC bosses are grooming Kielty to become a "major player" for the station.
